This subtree contains the following IRIX 6.2based SGI software:

NOTE:
We are including Netscape 3.0 so people can have access to this released version. But, 3.0 hasn't been localized yet. The localized App Defaults and Icons for French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Italian, Danish, Dutch, Portegese, Chinese, Taiwan, and tradiational, won't be localized until the end of the year. These languages are all localized in 2.02S.
For people who attempt to load 3.0 on an IRIX 6.2 system without the
ImageVision 3.0 product loaded, you will encounter conflicts inside of inst.
The problem is between the 2.5.1 version of the IL (that released with IRIX 6.2) and the 3.0 version of the IL that has been released post-IRIX 6.2. The "solution" is the following:
1. inside inst, run the command,
2. then go ahead and install the netscape 3.0 software
3. afterwards go into /usr/local/lib/netscape and edit the mailcap file so that all the lines with imgview include the "-nofork" flag after "imgview" and before "%s" as is the case below.

If you have already installed IL 3.0, then you should install the 2.5.1 compatability libraries so other software that depends on those older libraries will still function properly.
